Indian trade with Africa has been growing rapidly in recent years. Since 2003, two-way trade volumes have risen more than 18% per year on average to reach $102.6 billion last year.

Thanks to this growth, Indian products now represent 6.3% of Africa’s total imports. Yet China remains well ahead, supplying 18.3% of Africa’s imports.
