India-Cape Verde Relations
Political Relations:
There has been regular co-operation at international fora. There is great admiration in Cape Verde for India’s achievements and its stature at the international level. There are no perceivable differences/irritants that could impede strengthening of our relations. The then Foreign Minister H.E. Mr. Jose Brito visited India in November 2009.

India’s exports mainly consist of drugs & pharmaceuticals, plastic & linoleum products and manmade fibers.
ITEC:
For financial year 2015-16, 10 slots have been allotted for training in various courses under ITEC Programme whereas 9 Scholarship slots were provided under ICCR.
Grants/Credits:
Refurbishment of a healthcare centre in Cape Verde was financed by an IBSA grant. GOI has offered a Line of Credit of US$ 5 million for setting up of a Technology Park Project in Cape Verde. An assistance of US$ 50,000/- was also extended by GOI in 2010 to the Government of Cape Verde to fight dengue fever.
Embassy in India:
Cape Verde does not have an Embassy in New Delhi. However, the coordinates of the Honorary Consul General of Cape Verde in New Delhi are: Dr. Sanjay Dewan, Hony. Consul of the Republic of Cape Verde, 6/24 Shanti Niketan, New Delhi-110021
Indian community:
There is a very small Indian community in Cape Verde.
